How to jailbreak iPhone on iOS 5.1.1

You might have heard of jailbreaking of iPhone. Jailbreak have been released for many versions of iOS till date, the latest one of them being for the iOS 5.1.1 which is also the latest iOS update from Apple at the moment. Jailbreaking allows you to run softwares and modify iOS in such a way that normally is prohibited by Apple.

It allows you to install Cydia which is the App Store of many 3rd party applications, tweaks, themes, ringtones and so much more. Jailbreaking has already been made legal in the U.S in 2010. Jailbreak is of two types:
Tethered Jailbreak: It will require you to boot your iDevice every time you restart your iPhone, this type of jailbreak is released almost along with the release of a new version of iOS, within a few days and which is later exploited and an Untethered version of the jailbreak is released.
Untetherd Jailbreak: It is the normal version of the jailbreak which does not require any boot after restarting your iDevice. It takes some time for the developers to exploit the new version of iOS and hence untethered jailbreak can take more than a month to be released.
Jailbreak voids the warranty of your iDevice, if you take your Jailbroken device to the Apple service center but if you wish to take your iDevice  to the Apple store you can always restore your iDevice to the original settings by restoring it  via iTunes or updating your iDevice.
The jaibreak of iPhone 4S/4/3GS, iPad 1,2 & 3 and iPod touch 4G & 3G running on iOS 5.1.1 can be done by two main methods:
